I stumbled upon this cafe on Instagram and I was immediately attracted to the name. I made a point to go the next time I was in KL so I Wazed my way on a Friday. I wasn't expecting a crowd as it was a weekday but alas I forgot Friday had a long lunch break and by the time we arrived it was already 1230, and we waited a good 40 minutes for a table!
The decor was very pleasing to the eye and the place was well lit was natural lighting as the glass windows were facing the road. It looked busy but not stuffy. I was with another friend and we decided to order 2 mains and 2 desserts, I was actually bargaining for 3 desserts and 1 main but they didn't have much of a dessert list to start of with.
We ordered a pasta dish- the linguist which was something like an aglio-olio with a mild spicy twist. The pasta was al dente - but obviously not a sharing portion ( at least not for me).
We then ordered another dish from the specialty brunch which was the eggs royale. Basically poached eggs on toast but to make it special they had fried kale. It was quite delicious but I wish they were a bit more generous with the Hollandaise Sauce.
For desserts - we ordered the Mango Mille Feuille and the Salted Egg Yolk Chocolate Molten Lava cake with vanilla ice cream. The desserts were pretty and looked very angelic. The taste wasn't bad but I wish they had more mango on it. I actually love everything salted egg but I advise you to share it as i think it is pretty sweet and a bit too overwhelming for me.
Coffee was usual- there was nothing special about it, but you can take it away in a nice wizard cup.Overall the food was ok but a tad pricey.
Would i come here again - only if didn't have to que.
