I read about Ultherapy online and I was thrilled knowing that it was finally available in JB, and fortunately enough it was at my favorite aesthetic clinic too - Revival Medical Clinic. I've known Dr Linda and Dr Kavin many years back and we used to work together and I've always been a regular at their aesthetic clinic. Ultherapy is basically like a face lift but it's the only non-invasive FDA approved procedure. It actually helps with collagen regeneration by jump starting a natural process to produce fresh new collagen. What's great is that it doesn't involve the use of external agents like creams or fillers. It mainly relies on your body's own capabilities thus giving you natural results. I was a bit scared initially but Dr Linda reassured and explained regarding the procedure very clearly. Be prepared to spend around 2-2.5 Hours for the visit including consultation. First they apply numbing gel and they mark your face. This can probably take an hour already.
Then they start putting the ultrasound probe at the markings and focused ultrasound energy will be emitted through the probe and they monitor the depth and the optimal temperature that the energy reaches for collagen regeneration. It's not painful but can be a bit uncomfortable especially at the neck and temple but you can tell them when it is so they can adjust the heat that you feel. They basically need around 1.5 Hours to do the neck and face.
After that they will apply a cooling mask to calm your skin. Post procedure, I actually notice immediate results at my jaw where it looked lifted. There was mild redness but i could go out for dinner without anyone noticing.
The best results can be seen 3-6 months later and I'm quite happy with the procedure. When I finally had the chance to look at my pre and post pictures, i was impressed with the changes. My face was lifted and I look less tired and puffy. My nasolabial folds were also reduced and the eye area was less droopy then before.
